T.O.P. - Turn It Up (Robotaki Remix) is getting remastered so volumes balancing is more appropriate! It was a problem with the type of compression I was doing on the vocals.
Relating back to my 4th Tutorial on the uses of Compression, on the previous Amp Live remix, the vocal compression was put to a very high ratio. This cause the vocals to duck whenever a heavy beat came in - much more than I liked.
On the new remastered version, the compression ratio has been decreased significantly and there is a dramatic difference in the clarity of sound. Things don’t seem to be so pressed into a small space.
So this is just a little audio tidbit I learned myself today that I’d like to share with people who are involved in audio production, and a heads up that the remix will be getting REVAMPED! :)
